Machines for the mechanical separation of liquids and solids in through-feed. A screw conveyor moves the liquid and solid mixture against a configurable resistance. As a result of the accumulated pressure, the liquid passes through a perforated screen and the solid matter is discharged in the conveyor direction. The dry matter in the solids is set according to the freely configurable pressure.
