Bulk materials and their properties are rather varied. 

Different storage containers, sizes and discharge systems are therefore available. While self-supporting steel designs are used for small storage capacities, designs involving concrete construction are realised for large storage capacities. Metered discharge is achieved with a corresponding discharge system.
