Use of expired foodstuffs.

Expired foodstuffs are sent to a biogas plant, complete with packaging, for further use. In this process, the containers are broken open with the use of hammer mills, for example. The resulting “mash” comprises valuable organic matter and broken packaging. The dewatering press is used to separate the organic matter from the broken packaging. The organic matter is fed into the fermenter, while refuse is moved into the waste container.
