Are there stones in biomass processed at biogas plants?
Yes, there are and they can cause problems and permanent plant wear. In the worst case, stones can block the fermenter. Stones need to be removed from the biomass before it enters the fermenter. Our solution makes this possible and simple. In the first stage, stones are separated from the biomass. During this process, valuable organic matter inevitably ends up among the separated stones. In the second stage, the collected substrate of stones and organic matter are separated into stones and organic matter via sluicing. The stones are discharged for further use and the organic matter is fed into the biogas plant.
